I fell victim to the 12 days twice so far, got the BOGO Multi-Roc, and a Space Corps Darc-1, the order included a free Swift and ornament.

Also have got a second order which I haven't received yet of the Astro-Cam Launch Set and finally pulled the trigger on buying the Space-X rocket.

Wishing all a wondrous, wistful and wealthy Christmas and New Years

LOL... I think a lot of Star Orbiters were sold that day. Need to agree on a date next Sumner and have official a Star Orbiter drag race event...

Wolf, Hope your get better quickly, and are ready for the holidays.  I too fell to the temptation of the Estes 12 days promotion one day. (Star Orbiter at discount, free motors, and a free rocket, etc... ordered 2...lol)

Wishing everyone a happy holiday season. Be safe and enjoy the opportunities.

The weather for tomorrow is not particularly bad, but unfortunately, I am under the weather.  I spent the whole week flattened by some nasty coronavirus or influenza bug.  I'm spent and have no energy for hauling gear back and forth to Aurora.

Happy Holidays,

A poor weather forecast featuring a good chance for more rain and wind chills below freezing are not favorable for flying model rockets.

The launch is scrubbed.  Next date is Saturday, December 10.  See you then.

That said, if anyone is free, we'd love to have some more help.

I'm not entirely sure when the rocket event is supposed to start but registration begins at 11:30, the whole thing starts at noon, and our troop is planning a 10:00 am arrival.  Officially, the event lasts until 5:00 pm though I have no idea when the rocketry part is scheduled to end.  The scout, of course, are camping and staying overnight.

I have attached a map of Silver Park and other information that was sent to me by the organizers of this event.

For what it's worth, the folks planning this know, and publicly acknowledge that it is the folks from MTMA that are helping with the rocketry event.

Go for launch at the Harmon Field.  It will be partly sunny with a breeze out of the west.  Temperature in the 40s crawling up into the low 50s.  A fine October Day!

UPDATENEW STOP TIME - we are flying until 2:30 p.m.

We are hosting a large pack of Cub Scouts and their families.  Launch priority will be for our guests until they finish up, by about noon.  If you intend to fly your own rockets later, then please help us out in the morning.
