Re: March 11 ,& 12 Launch status

There is no launch this weekend.  We start scheduling launches in March hoping to catch those rare days that sometimes come around.  We've experienced some perfect flying conditions during the late Winter and early Spring in the past.  This weekend is not going to be one of those times.  As we have for many years, we will continue to make "GO" and "NOGO" announcements one or two days before every launch.

And please renew your MTMA membership, or join up if you've been lurking this forum for years and never flew rockets with us.  If you do decide to join, please be aware that both the dues and the form are due back to us.  NAR Membership is required.  Some people send just the dues, or just the form.  That won't work.  It is all explained here:  https://mtma.groups.io/g/public/message/4922

In the meantime, build another model rocket.  And set your clocks this weekend.

Thoughts on the launch possibility this weekend?  Looks like snow showers thru early am on Saturday, low clouds hanging on a little later.  Then temperatures stay low thru Sunday.   Wind early Saturday from NNW @ 10mph, diminishing and shifting from E @ 5mph by afternoon on Sunday.

Are you going to wait and see if any changes? Try it and see what it's like at the field (Sat / Sun)? Or call it and hope for better conditions in 2 weeks?

Absolutely a park flyer on these motors. Plus a Chute Tamer set to open at 300’. I’ve flown my Loc Aura and Weasel there on F motors and recovered them in our field….

This one won’t go nearly as high or as fast!

I tried to order a DARC-1 this morning using the coupon code. It applied the coupon (launch2022) but showed a $0.00 discount. That's okay. Plenty of other savings this week! Still have 2 more orders to be delivered!

Have a great Holiday everybody!

There is a general discount code that stacks a 25% additional discount on top of the Estes holiday sales discounts.

launch2022

Supposedly the discount code works just once.  If you haven't used it yet, now may be a good time.

I ended up ordering a few PSII parts for a hefty discount, plus the Blue Origin builders' kit and an Antar.  The box art for the Antar is a hoot!

More sale stuff:
The Estes Bull Pup 12D has been 42% off on Amazon for a while now.  If you have ever wanted to build an MX-774 "Hi Roc" scale model, the Bullpup kit has the parts to do that.
