Friends, Romans, Rocketeers,

It’s time to thin the herd. Simply that, no hidden agenda. Almost anything is fair game. I have a wide collection of rockets, some of which I will never build. If you see me at a launch and see a rocket you like make an offer. If it’s reasonable you just might end up with it. I plan on doing a lot more flying this year, so I will be at more launches flying some of my newer builds like a 2.6” version of the Estes Starlight. Sorry, that’s not for sale. I also have a large collection of kits you may want. Will list some examples below. I just renewed my NAR membership (for life). Help me pay for it.

Centuri 1/45 Little Joe II (built0 no chute or shock cord but otherwise in good shape

Centuri 1/45 Little Joe II (opened box but compete except for chute)

PML Lunar Express. Did not say LIL. This is the 6” version with the altimeter in the nose.

Estes Saturn V’s

Estes Maxi Brute X wing

NCR by Estes X-wing

Polecat 5.5” Honest John

Fat Cat Mega Marauder 5.5” upscale of the Maurader. Built but not painted. 54mm motor mount.

Several other Fat Cat kits

Sherrie’s Little Joe II partially built but all parts there. Excellent builder’s kit flies on G motors. Has Aeropack retainer already installed.

Just a few examples listed here. I have smalls kits like the Bucky Jones (two sizes) to several sizes of the X-15, all the way to the 6” Monster Rockets version. LETS NEGOTIATE SEE YOU AT GLRMR (if not before) Pat

Sounds like you have a busy, fun filled year ahead!  Enjoy.  I hope to see you at either one of our local launches or at NARAM.

I thought about it Mike, but as it turns out, I will be spending two weeks at the Boy Scout Jamboree this year, AND we have a daughter planning a wedding $$o I need to be careful how I spend my money and my vacation days.  I’m still waffling on  the TARC finals and NARAM though.

Blessings,

John Partridge

I was going to be there by 11:00.  Maybe earlier, but realistically, 11:00.

I'm interested in going - soon.  Let's set a date this month.  We can even schedule a couple sessions.  I've gone there after work, so I'm open to weekday evenings too.

WARNING - if you use the little self-pay lot on Cedar next to ThinkBox, pay with cash only.  It's a $1.00 per hour so bring dollar bills.  I used a debit card and I am 99% certain that my credit card info was stolen there.  Good thing the bank almost instantly inactivated the card.  I used to take our cashless culture for granted.  Not anymore.

Anyone ?

John, I can't answer that.  The NARCON website says that their capacity is 200.  If you have any questions I would suggest that you contact Trip Barber, who is in charge of organizing NARCON this year.

Is this event literally closed after 200 registrations?

Registration is on the NARCON website: http://www.nar.org/site/narcon-2017/home-page/

It is only $25.  This gets you in to the convention and to attend the various presentations.  There is also a tour of Aurora Aerospace on Friday afternoon and the Udvar Hazy Center on Sunday.  There is a banquet Saturday evening as well for an additional charge of $50.

One informal tradition at NARCON is beer loft.  It will be held Saturday PM after the banquet likely in the hotel bar.  It is well worth attending.

Given the large attendance expected this should be a great event worth attending
