locked Mad Cow 4" Frenzy - See photos.

Andrew Kleinhenz <mrandrewlk@...>

Hello All-

I guess you could say I went through a “phase” in regards to split fin rockets. It was fun and all, but for me....it is time to move on. My Dark Star has a fine new home and up next is a Mad Cow Frenzy-booster section (I am keeping the payload )

It is built light and very strong. It has 1515 buttons (of course) that are bolted and therefore removable. It has a 54mm mount WITH Aeropac retainer. Also inside it has a 1” Kevlar strap with 1000 pound swivel for your recovery needs. It is totally ready for paint. The fins are primed/sealed and sanded smooth. Make it your own fly it high.

I am really looking to trade for something.....like three 29mm G reloads (G64 or G76) I will consider G single use with proper delays. Maybe 1 or two packs of 24mm reloads....anyway make me an offer. I would even go for an unopened new Estes Pro-Series II rocket (Like the Ventris, Partisan etc.) This is a good build that you can still make your own.

Offer me a good deal and I would even consider delivery to your home!

Andrew Kleinhenz.

I see the new motors and the great deals on kits but at this time I feel as if I will never get to build a rocket again!!  I have a new business that is taking 60-80 hours a week of my time until I make a good hire!!  I know this is not the place for this but I have tried many other many other places such as Monster, Plain Dealer, even Craig's list....we clean up from water damage after floods and fires, ( frozen pipes as of late!) I need a guy or girls, $12-$15 per hour ....we extract water, remove carpet, remove drywall, and mostly set up fans and dehumidifiers........if anyone has any referrals please send them my way!!  I have kits screaming for paint and glue!!

locked launch equipment upgrade

Jim Seibyl

Hello!

This year, MTMA has adequate funds to upgrade our launch equipment. That being said we need help in designing, building, and testing a new launch control system that would be flexible, easily transportable, and simple enough for quick setup/teardown.

The system would be similar to that used by the NAR for NARAM, and include adequate power for high power away pads, simultaneous launches (drag races), provided by a main controller box and power relays,

What features would you like to see?? Cupholders and built-in coolers aside, this is a serious discussion for a system that the club can use for years.

If you are interested in helping, AND serious about taking the time to help, than please follow the link below to a group that has been created strictly for discussion, feedback, results, etc. Since the controller system would be something we all could enjoy for years to come, your active participation would not only allow you to have input, but you would be helping everyone by adding your expertise and experience!

It was a crappy day to fly.  No one was into it.  Good call, Jim.

Good weather is coming!

with the snow still coming down and ceiling low, today's launch is cancelled.  Andrew has said that if people want to fly on their own equipment they are welcome to do so.

locked GO for Launch: Sunday, February 9, 2014

Mark Recktenwald

Please note the later starting and ending times: from NOON until about 5:00 pm.

We are GO for Launch at the Hosmer Road field in Parkman Township (Middlefield), Ohio, tomorrow, Sunday, February 9, 2014.

Please do not drive or park on the lawn (even if it is just one side of your vehicle). If you get parked in, please ask the people behind you to let you out.

The forecast is calling for a relatively low cloud deck, starting below 700 feet in the morning, but gradually rising in the afternoon. Per the safety code, all rockets must stay below the clouds.

The forecast high is in the mid 20s with west winds at 4 gusting to 10 mph.

locked No Launch Saturday. We'll Try Sunday

Mark Recktenwald

Due to very low morning temperatures and wind chills (-4F) we will not launch on Saturday. The early morning temperatures on Sunday look much better, but we may have a low cloud deck. We'll revisit that tomorrow afternoon and make a call at that time.

Hello Everyone-

I had a an hour or so to play around with some launch clips. Since we all have not launched in some time due to weather, I decided to make something to help us with launch withdrawal. Below is a short “video”.
On this one....it is vitally important that you turn up your sound! (make sure video quality is set to at least 360).

ENJOY!

Hey folks-

Does anybody know anything about this new Aerotech motor? It is a single use G74-W (wow) it seems to come in a TWO pack for around $17.00 (SWEET MOTHER OF.....!) That would be cheaper than a G64 reload! Hobbylinc says they will have them mid February.

I cant find a thrust curve etc. Anybody have any info?

p.s. has anybody seen the new G25-W.....yes G25! it is for the 29/120 case (not the hobby case) It is a moon burner with a 4.5 second burn! WOW Mark....can you just imagine BUBBA on that motor!
